Our History
H In 1976, our founder, Gerald L. Hill left his previous firm and started out on his own. Over the next few years the firm grew from a two room office with hand-kept books, voluminous files and hand-written tax returns to a 6,000 square foot office in a prime northside tower with a computer room filled with state-of-the art main frame computers that required extra air conditioning in 1983. That was when Kimberly C. Ford joined the firm as a staff accountant. These next few years were tumultuous times in South Texas and the firm not only survived but thrived. 1994 began the partnership we know today as the firm of Hill & Ford, P.C. Currently we occupy 5,822 square feet of office space, still on the northside of San Antonio, but instead of an ice-cold computer room, every employee has a PC on their desk with three monitors, all accounting is done on computers, the filing system is paperless, and tax returns are calculated instantaneously on sophisticated software and filed electronically. |
